How to make yourself admin

Setting yourself as admin on the server is very simple and only requires these few steps

Please make sure that you have stopped the server before following this guide.

1. The first thing you will want to do is to click the Configuration Files button on the panel.

2. You will now want to open the SpaceEngineers-Dedicated.cfg by clicking Text Editor on the right hand side of the panel.

3. You will now see all of your server configuration options neatly laid out



Note: We do suggest that if you are going to edit this file you use a dedicated program, such as Notepad++, to reduce the chances of making a mistake. You can then go to "Language" and set it to XML making the file much easier to understand




4. Now you will want to navigate down the file until you see a section called Set priviliged users.



5. You now need to find your Steam64 bit ID, this can be found by visiting this URL

6. Once you have your 64bit ID copy it and head back to your control panel

7. You will now need to edit the line so that you can add an admin, to do this replace it with the following code;



8. Simply replace YOURUSERID with the UserID you received from the website, save the file and restart the server.

You must make sure that you open and close the Administrators tags, otherwise your edits will not work

If you wish to add another admin, simply copy the line with and replace it with the other admins ID
