Minecraft console commands

The console is for use when you wish to issue commands to the server without being in-game.

There are many different commands that you can use but here is a list of the most common commands you will probably use:-

This is how you OP a player:

op playername

This is how you remove OP from a player:

deop playername

This is how you kick a player with a reason:

kick player reason

This is how you ban a player with a reason:

ban player reason

This is how you ban someone's IP address from accessing your server:

ban-ip ipaddress

This is how you unban someone after banning them:

pardon player

This is how you unban someone if you have Essentials / Command Book installed:

unban player

This is how you change someone's gamemode from Survival to Creative or Adventure:

gamemode 0 / 1 /2 playername

This is how you give a specific player a certain item(s):

give playername item-id amount

This will save all worlds you currently have loaded:

save-all

This will toggle rain on or off depending if it is currently on or off:

toggledownfall

This is the command used to teleport one player to another:

tp playername target player

This is used to turn the white-list on / off or reload the names on it:

whitelist on / off / reload

This is the command used to add or remove a name to the whitelist without editing the file:

whitelist add / remove

This is how you can give a certain player experience:

xp amount playername
